1915 December Founding Anonymous Association Nippon Radio Telegraph Manufacturer.
1916 December Manufacturing our first product, quenched spark telegraphic instrument.
1920 February Reorganized as Nippon Radio Telegraph and Telephone Co., Ltd. with capital of a million yen.
1922 February Manufacturing Japan's first broadcasting radio transmitter for maritime meteorological information.
  June Manufacturing triodes for 500W transmission.
1923 December Manufacturing Japan’s first 500W vacume tube transmitter.
1924 April Conclusion of a contract on capital and technology with Telefunken G.m.b.H in Germany.
  June Starting development of radio receiver parts and receiving set.
1925   Manufacturing Japan’s first 3kW high power transmitter.
1928   Inventing compact fixed resistor with trade name, "Wirohm."
1930 January Constructing and relocated headquarters and factory in Osaki, Tokyo.
  December Our new style radio receiver is awarded the first prize in NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) High-grade Radio Receiver Show.
1932 March Manufacturing fully nationalized 500W power broadcasting transmitter.
    Manufacturing precision frequency meter and voltage meter.
1934   Developing Japan’s first aviation radio transceiver(short wave).
1938 July Constructing and relocated a factory in Mitaka, Tokyo.
1939   Developping world’s first cavity magnetron, with punched positive copper pole, 10cm wave length and 500W power.
1942 December Changing firm name to Japan Radio Co., Ltd.
1943   Succeeding in Japan’s first experiment on time-division multiplex radio communication in collaboration with Tohoku University.
1945 December New logo is in effect.
1948 April Opening Osaka sales branch (current Kansai branch office).
  November Manufacturing Japan’s first ultrasonic sounding machine.
1949 April Succeeding in Japan’s first microwave multiplex radio communication.
  May Succeeding in experiment of fish finder and its productization.
  October Founding Nagano Japan Radio Co., Ltd.

1950 January Founding Medical and Science Laboratory Co., Ltd. (current ALOKA Co., Ltd.).
  April Quickly restarting R&D of weather radar.
1951 October Releasing world’s first fish detector with barium titanate transducer.
1952 December Manufacturing Japan’s first 9000MHz marine radar.
1953 February Listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
  July Succeeding in Japan’s first experiment on 7000MHz multiplex radio communication by positive repeater system.
1954 March Developing Japan’s first weather radar.
1955 May Founding Japan Radio Glass Co., Ltd.

1957 April Concluding technological assistance contract with Telefunken in Germany.
1959 March Manufacturing TV transposer.
1960 February Developing and releasing world’s first transistorized loran receiver.
  September Manufacturing telemeter equipment for the monitoring of rainfall water level.

  July Opening new head office in Toranomon area in Minato-ku, Tokyo.
1962 December Opening Osaki factory (current Marine Service Department).
1964 August Delivering Japan’s first simultaneous interpretation system to Hotel Okura.

1969 October Opening a laboratory in Mitaka plant.
    Manufacturing airport surveillance radar (ASR).
    Manufacturing world’s first solid-state compact marine radar.
1970 February Delivering broadcast units for whole site of Japan World Exposition.
  May Releasing JAC-120 general-purpose computer system.
    Manufacturing Japan’s first digital flight simulator.
  July Developing Japan’s first NNSS (Navy Navigation Satellite System) and Omega receiver.
  September Starting local assembly of telecommunication devices in Indonesia based on technical collaboration agreement with Indonesia National Technology Institute (current P.T.INTI).
1971 January Concluding long term sales representation contract on navigation equipment with Raytheon Marine Company.
  May Releasing Japan’s first real time signal analyzer.
1972 March Manufacturing world’s first water quality real-time surveillance system.
  June Manufacturing automatic radar plotting aids (ARPA) for ship.
1975 March Founding JRC do Brasil Empreendimentos Electronicos Ltda.
  August Manufacturing Japan’s first Ship Earth Station device for INMARSAT.
1976 October Opening training center in Mitaka plant.
1977 January Releasing JAC150 Computer Series.
  June Releasing ham radio receiver.
  October Starting co-development of LSI with New Japan Radio.
1978 February Delivering RDP(Radar Data Processing) simulator with analog display to Ministry of Transport.
1979 March Manufacturing fully solid-state PCM/PSK multiplex radio communication equipment.
  May Releasing color fish finder.
  July Construction of Osaka branch office (current Kansai regional branch office) building.
  September Manufacturing small earth station (SES) for satellite communication.
1980 October Releasing new series of products, such as rack mounting radio communication equipment and fish finder.
1981 February Releasing new series of marine radar.
1982 May Opening Saitama plant.
1983 January Releasing world’s first color oceanographic display and color scanning sonar.
  April Founding JRC Engineering Co., Ltd.
    Concluding partnership contract on maritime satellite communication equipment for INMARSAT to U.S.A. and other countries with Raytheon Marine Company.
  May Relocating head office to Akasaka, in Minato-ku, Tokyo.
  August Achieving top world share in maritime satellite marine radio device.
1984 August Developing Japan’s first GPS receiver for ship.
  September Releasing mobile station for cellular automobile telephone.
1985 May Concluding overall sales collaboration contract on marine electronics equipment with Raytheon Marine Companyin U.S.A. and its subsidiary companies in Europe.
  October Founding JRC Tokki Co., Ltd.
    Releasing business communication satellite data multiplexing device and multimedia multiplexing device.
1987 February Manufacturing radio base station transmitter/receiver for high-capacity automobile telephone.
  August Releasing large raster-scan radar/ARPA new series for ship.
1990 January Capital exceeds 10 billion yen.
  March Developing world’s first in-car GPS.
1991 April Manufacturing 4GHz band small capacity digital multiplex radio system.
  September Manufacturing radio communication equipment series for GMDSS.
  October Passing world’s first screening of INMARSAT-C for land.

1999 June Releasing 22GHz FWA(Fixed Wireless Access).

2004 April JMA-9900 Series ARPA/Color Radar for ship.
  June Awarded the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications to our "development and practical application of 26GHz band high-speed FWA system" in the Fifteenth Meritorious Award on Radio (co-awarded with NTT, New Japan Radio, Nihon Dengyo Kosaku, Dr. Makoto Ando [Graduate Schools, Tokyo Institute of Technology]).
  August Releasing JMA-5300 Series real time radar.
  September Manufacturing 11/15/18GHz band 156M bps entrance radio device.
2005 February Releasing NJZ-2000 Series multi system UE tester.
  December New Japan Radio Co.,Ltd. and ALOKA Co.,Ltd. were excluded from the scope of consolidation as a result of the sales of issued share.
2006 April Introducing headquarters system.
  October Releasing JRM-11 Series ETC on-board equipment for motorcycle.
